A necklace with a saffron flower and a soul

This necklace with Saffron flowers is part of the items for sale in our online shop; these result from our collaboration with local producers. Some of these handcrafted articles are the output of specific projects. For example, the candle with Saffron petals was created to use the beautiful petals of Saffron flowers that were previously thrown away.

The necklace with the saffron flower was designed to show and enhance this exquisite flower and make known to the most the origin of this noble spice.

This video features Fatemeh Zahra, the girl who dried the flowers for our necklaces. She is 17 and will inherit the land where her parents grow Saffron. Her dream is to realize an artistic career and become a photographer, therefore at first sight in contrast with her parents' work. We believe that offering artistic work ideas like this one can encourage young people not to abandon their parents' path but to further enhance it with new ideas and stimuli. This aspect is crucial as, unfortunately, in the villages where one of the best Saffron in the world is produced, there is an increasing majority of elderly people, and young people tend to migrate to the cities.
