Shirin Persia "American Wheat" style Saffron beer
Have you ever thought that Saffron could be used to flavor and embellish craft beer? We made it this year by starting to imagine what style of beer would be good with this spice, experimenting with various dosages and various recipes up to its commercialization.
The Saffron in the beer comes from a fair-trade project born in 2019, representing Shirin Persia's heart. This Saffron is grown in family-run fields in the locality of Qa'en in Iran (see map) and is considered the best quality Saffron in Iran. The collaboration with the 5+ brewery in Trento was born in 2020 from a great convergence of views both in ethical trade and in the search for absolute quality. Hence the choice of co-branding.
